Who is a Team Lead Designer?

A team Lead Designer is an expert on leading and coaching the designer team. This is the person who possesses the technical skills, participates in project work, comes up with solutions for complex challenges, and promotes strategic decisions.

Management activity of a team lead designer lies in the following responsibilities:

Management;
Distribution and delegation of responsibilities;
Drawing up a working schedule;
Analysis and quality evaluation of the finalized product and the performance of staff members;
Control of a project state;
Interaction with customers;
Managing the team of designers, developers, architects, testers, and managers

Main tasks of a Team Lead Designer

Design of a user interface;
Development of specifications (description of reactions, visualizations);
Elaboration of user journeys;
Scheduling and optimizing the process of a design team;
Effective task management for on-time implementation;
Keeping the balance between quality and speed;
Usability testing among users;
Cooperation with product managers

Requirements for a Team Lead Designer

Experience in web-design
Experience in design-system creation and its elements
Experience in process building and managing/coaching the design team (desirable)
Skills/understanding of desktop publishing, HTML/CSS
Knowledge of interface prototyping tools (Figma, Photoshop, Mockup)
Knowledge of English is an additional advantage (B1-C1).
